This is our third year on the internet and we are hopping to serve more people before the Renaissance Season starts this year. We have been going to faires for seven years and have met many very nice people, watched many fun shows, and have been rained out way to many times... Before the faires, we began over seventeen years ago at Rondezvous reenactments selling leather pouches, moccosins, wooden camping sinks, leather jewelry, cups, lanterns, dream catchers, clothes, belts, and so many other things, just like the old fur traders would have in the 1830s and 40s. We have also been to Civil War reenactments, Pow-Wows, and even a few Native American battle reenactments.

We have always been and still are a family owned and opperated merchant. The Jewelry, which now includes celtic styles, egyptian styles, sterling silver, pewter, copper, and now even little tin soldiers and knights, is made by Keith. Jesse makes jewelry as well, including beaded earings and necklaces. Emly has made dream catchers, bracelets, seedbead earings and necklaces, and has come up with many ideas for leather fashion items that are now included in our wares. Emly has also had a face-painting booth, painting all sorts of little pictures on the kids. She was married in November, 2005, and now lives in Shokapee, MN. This will be our first year to go to Ren Faires without her, but we will see how many she will be able to make. A couple years before we started going to Faires, we started making lots of different leather items, which is what led up to this site. Our Moccosins have always been great and many people have remarked on them, but we had piles of scrape leather pieces and didnt know what to do with them. So we started make purses, pouches, cup holders, hair holders, belts, tomahalk covers, and other little things. So today we make all kinds of goodies that you just have to come to the faire to see. We love going to see different parts of the country and meeting lots of people, and most of all, we like to see that our work is liked by the people who buy our goods and add them to thier renaissance garb, and just enjoying them.

Something else that is new to us this past couple of years is the permenant Renaissance Festival in Des Moines, IA.  Lords of Leather is proud to be part of this exciting first for us and Iowa. We have our plot of land set out and a 20x30 booth.. The Des Moines Ren Faire starts the first three weekends of September, 2008.

I hope that this website is easy to navigate, and even easier to veiw our items for sale and purchasing. We accept most credit and debit cards through PayPal. Its simple and quick, and I think you will like how ordering is handled. To choose colors of leather, Im working on some sample pictures to show different colors of our leather. For the most part, they are black, dark brown and we have a burgundy that looks great, our shoe line is made from 4 and 5 oz leather which is going to last a long time. most items that are wore on a belt and the armor that we sell is also made from this leather. Other purses and pouches are a softer flexible leather and is similar to what we make bodices out of we have many shades of blues, browns, reds, greens and we have lots of black. The rabbit fur is a good quality, as is the rest of our merchandise. We ask that if you order any kind of shoes, please email or call us for a little info. We dont use the standard sizes, we have our own size chart, so what we most often do is get a trace of the size of your foot. This is the best way to make a shoe for your foot. When we recieve this in the mail, we will find your size, and call you to get your email address and send you an invoice, collect payment and send your shipment out the same day.

No shipping or handling charges on any order (not because we raised the price, but because we figured we dont have to go somewhere to sell our items and pay a setup fee at a Faire... )
